Every experience of trauma leaves traces on the heart: tightening breath, unsettling sleep, and dimming the simple rhythms of daily life. Some people bury their pain and move through the world as if nothing happened; others slowly pull away from community, isolating themselves, believing that no one could truly understand or carry their sorrow.
Trauma often returns quietly- just when we think we’ve “returned to normal,” it shows us the places within us that still need care.
In moments like these, the answer is not to carry everything alone, but to have someone who walks beside you: someone who listens, understands, and stays; someone who can hold a gentle light when you feel weary.
If you are a HongKonger or someone you know is experiencing grief, emotional struggle, or the weight of collective or personal distress—and you wish for companionship- you are welcome to reach out to us: wethediaspora@protonmail.com
We are a community of registered psychotherapists, counsellors, and spiritual directors offering free, confidential support. All personal information will be kept with great care and privacy.
You do not have to walk this road alone. We would be honoured to walk with you- toward a gentler, more hopeful tomorrow.
